I found this and couldn't resist:

I figured we could use this space to discuss changes we've seen in Emma over the course of her career (acting/modeling etc.)

Great idea for a topic!

I think her acting style has changed a lot over the years. The first few films were all eyebrows and exaggerated sentences  Cheesy but she's become a natural in the last few HP films. I think she's become a lot more comfortable with modeling poses too. I wasn't all that keen on her earlier looks, but after she wore that gorgeous ruched Lanvin dress with the bow I've liked the majority of her outfits.

I agree with errol, and also I like that she had long hair when she was younger, but then she got short hair and she've kept it in a long while now. I like it better short! Wink

Well, in the beginning, she acted out of pure innocence, it must have been almost like a game, so she was quite Hermione-ish. In PoA she began losing sight of who Hermione was, she wasn't as bookworm as she was supposed to be, which is what I loved the most about the character. In GoF, she was utterly annoying with her little eyebrows and lame silences before a repproach, and a bit of that continued in OotP. In HBP, she had improved a lot: the crying was impressive, she was truly pouring her eyes out (I read that Dan said she then couldn't stop crying... what must she have been thinking?). I have a lot of hopes for DH, I know she must have honoured Hermione there.

In fashion sense, she was so little and unexperienced and flashed in the beginning that she dressed horribly Tongue Well, not all the time... I liked that she kept being a modest child in interviews, she would only wear a sweatshirt, or a simple top and trainers or boots and that stuff. It was nice, compared to other young celebrities.
In PoA and GoF era, I liked the dresses for the premieres, but for the photoshoots and photocalls it was clear that her sportive self was expressed in the outfits, for she matched skirts with trainers (which I heartly dislike); but at least it was nice to see that she picked most of the outfits herself and she wasn't a fashion waggon. She also used the whole runway outfit when she got stylish.
Her style definitely changed in OotP with Chanel, she started learning how to pick accesories and stuff that matched without taking the whole set from the mannequinn Cheesy
I love that she still can dress very modestly, simple and unnoticeable even if she's wearing Chanel.

Btw, what a funny picture, arwen! Cheesy

Well ... her eyebrows are definitely more polished, but i loved that about her ... still love her ... but I do miss the edge of uniqueness she had, nowadays I can find several more people wearing the same style she has, very curious.

i think her uniqueness is what made her, i love her style in 2004, its probably my favourite era of hers, with the converse and the marc jacobs jacket, and those curls, which i love more than the straightish style she has now although it suits her and its easier to do lol.

I love al her style, but i miss the uniqueness of 2004, i cant not wear those floral converse.  Cheesy

As far as her career goes, shes a lot better,i think she has really improved, i think shes played hermione really well. the bookish hermione did seem to go, but i think she kept her attitude throughout all the films, ive never had a complaint with her acting, shes done brilliant.  Grin xxxxxxxx

Oh, but she's worn the floral Converses from 2005 to 2007, I think...
Yeah, you're right, back then she was certainly one of a kind, she was pure Emma. Now she's so much more styled but, well, it's also because she's grown up, perhaps.

It's actually a bit weird that her nose haven't changed since she was a child, they look so completely identical! The only difference is that she is smiling on the first one and that's why it looks bigger, but in addition to that fact, it didn't change.

Of course when I see pictures of myself as a young child, I can see it is my nose, it haven't change very much, but it is still different now Smiley I talk rubbish!
